Starting from January 1, 2025, prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), diesel, and kerosene are set to rise. A 4.5 kg gas cylinder will be priced at $15.53, reflecting an increase of 18 cents from the previous cost of $15.35. Similarly, a 12 kg gas cylinder will now be available for $41.42, up by 50 cents.
In terms of bulk gas, the price will increase by four cents, bringing it to $3.20 per kilogram, while autogas will see a three-cent price rise, now costing $2.25 per litre. The price of diesel and kerosene will also see a similar increase of four cents per litre, with diesel now priced at $2.31 per litre and kerosene at $1.78 per litre. However, prices for motor spirit and premix will remain unchanged at $2.67 per litre and $2.51 per litre, respectively.
This price adjustment reflects ongoing market trends and supply chain dynamics, and while increases may pose challenges for consumers, it also highlights the importance of energy efficiency and alternative energy sources as the world strives for more sustainable energy practices.
