Tokasa Nadagalu delivered a powerful message of love conquering hatred and darkness when she was crowned Miss Vodafone Gold ‘N’ Water 2024 at Garvey Park in Tavua last Saturday night. The 19-year-old, who was sponsored by the vanua o Tavualevu, hails from Tavua Village and was raised by relatives after her father left her mother. Tragically, her mother passed away when Nadagalu was just 14 years old.
During her crowning, she encouraged her peers with the words “Never Give Up,” expressing that her victory was made possible through divine support. In her speech, she quoted the late Mother Teresa, emphasizing that love is a force that can drive out darkness and hatred.
She expressed gratitude towards major sponsor Vodafone Fiji, as well as her community sponsors from Tavualevu, including Krishna Goundar, for their vital support in her journey.
