Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, has announced his resignation, effective November 1, 2024. Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada confirmed that Karan will be transitioning to a new role in national and international development with an organization based in Fiji. Karan has dedicated over 20 years to the Fijian Government in various senior positions, including his roles as High Commissioner to India and Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister as well as for Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Sugar Industry.
