Team Lomaiviti has demonstrated their supremacy in the New World Suva Netball Association for 2024, as all their teams have progressed to the semi-finals scheduled for tomorrow.
This significant accomplishment comes amidst fierce competition in the association this year, which saw a record total of 479 games played across nine different categories with 89 participating teams.
Games coordinator Gabriel Qoro commended the clubs for their hard work and determination in advancing their teams to both the Quarter Finals and now the semi-finals. “Team Lomaiviti, known as one of the oldest clubs in Suva, will compete in all grades including Angels, Roses, Princess, Development, Queens, Mixed, Major, Premier, and Super grades. This reflects the club’s strength and diversity at all levels of the game,” Qoro noted.
He also recognized other clubs fielding more than five teams in the semi-finals, including Tagimoucia Club, Ablaze Club, Rovers, Grasshoppers, Tiki Club, and newcomers Huva Stallions Netball Club.
The Suva Netball Association committee expressed their appreciation to the parents, coaches, and managers of the clubs for their unwavering support and commitment throughout the season.
Additionally, they acknowledged the major sponsor New World IGA for their ongoing support, which has been instrumental in the growth and development of netball in Suva.
The semi-final competition will kick off at 8 AM at the National Netball Centre in Suva.
