Former players will be in action during BOG
The RC Manubhai/Apco Coatings International Veteran’s tournament is set to take place during the Rooster Chicken/Scoop Ice Cream Battle of the Giants Tournament in Suva from 1-4 August.
The matches will be held at the Fiji FA Academy Grounds in Vatuwaqa and the HFC Stadium in Suva.
Fiji FA Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf confirmed that the tournament will feature two categories: over 40 grades and over 45 grades.
“Players born on or before December 31, 1984, are eligible for the over 40 categories, while those born on or before December 31, 1979, can compete in the over 45 categories. Players born in 1985 and 1980, respectively, will not qualify for these categories,” said Mr. Yusuf.
Teams interested in participating must submit their completed application forms, including player registration forms, to Fiji FA by 21 July.
All applications must be made in the prescribed form and endorsed by the respective district association.
This requirement also applies to overseas teams as they will also need endorsements from their legitimate Fijian National Associations, such as NZFFI, AUFFI, and FSCUSA.
