Former players will be in action during the International Veteran’s Tournament
The RC Manubhai/Apco Coatings International Veteran’s tournament will coincide with the Rooster Chicken/Scoop Ice Cream Battle of the Giants Tournament in Suva, scheduled to take place from 1-4 August.
The matches will be hosted at the Fiji FA Academy Grounds in Vatuwaqa and the HFC Stadium in Suva.
Fiji FA Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf has confirmed that the tournament will feature two categories: over 40 grades and over 45 grades.
“Players born on or before December 31, 1984, are eligible for the over 40 category, while those born on or before December 31, 1979, can compete in the over 45 category. Players born in 1985 and 1980, respectively, will not qualify for these categories,” stated Mr. Yusuf.
Teams interested in participating must submit their completed application forms, including player registration forms, to Fiji FA by 21 July.
All applications must be made in the prescribed form and endorsed by the respective district association.
This requirement also applies to overseas teams, which must obtain endorsements from their legitimate Fijian National Associations, such as NZFFI, AUFFI, and FSCUSA.
