Resident Magistrate Sufia Hamza is set to make a decision today regarding former Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum’s request to travel to Singapore for a medical evaluation. During a hearing on Tuesday, Sayed-Khaiyum explained to the court that he has been experiencing severe pain since March, suffering episodes three to four times a week that significantly hinder his ability to carry out daily activities. He provided his testimony during the bail variation hearing. Sayed-Khaiyum is anticipated to appear in court at noon.
