The Public Service Commission has revealed that Selina Kuruleca, the Permanent Secretary for Education, will be reassigned to the position of Permanent Secretary for Justice, effective Monday of next week.
Ratu Meli Nacuva will take on the responsibilities of Acting Permanent Secretary for Education while also serving as Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports.
Public Service Commission Chairman Luke Rokovada expressed his gratitude to Kuruleca for her commitment to upholding high educational standards by prioritizing the improvement of quality and equity in education.
The Commission anticipates that this new role will utilize her skills and experience effectively.
Rokovada noted that Nacuva brings a wealth of experience in public administration, education policy, and training and development, which will be vital for furthering the Ministry’s objectives to boost the quality and availability of education to all citizens.
The Commission is dedicated to ensuring a seamless transition to maintain the Ministry of Education’s focus on enhancing educational outcomes.
