The Permanent Secretary for Education, Selina Kuruleca, has been reassigned to the role of Permanent Secretary for Justice, starting next Tuesday. Ratu Meli Nacuva, currently serving as the Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports, will take over the responsibilities of the Education sector on an acting basis. Luke Rokovada, Chair of the Public Service Commission, expressed gratitude to Kuruleca for her commitment to maintaining high educational standards while emphasizing quality and equity. He also expressed confidence that Kuruleca’s skills and experience will be beneficial in her new role. Rokovada highlighted Nacuva’s extensive background in public administration, education policy, and training and development, which he believes will be essential in advancing the Ministry’s initiatives to improve education quality and accessibility for all citizens.
