The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has received commendations for its recent initiative, which involved the completion of two new dormitories for students at Ratu Kadavulevu School. During the inauguration, the Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, expressed the government’s gratitude for the $1.1 million renovation.
The newly built dormitories, named Bure Cakau and Ma’afu, are set to house hundreds of students at Ratu Kadavulevu School, thanks to the efforts of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Church has a longstanding commitment to education and humanitarian projects across the Pacific, and this latest initiative highlights its dedication to the welfare of youth in Fiji.
The Minister emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts between the government and private entities in enhancing educational infrastructure nationwide.
The refurbished dormitories, many of which were previously affected by fires, now feature modern amenities, including over 140 new double bunk beds, accommodating up to 280 students annually.
