LDS Church’s $1.1M Dormitory Project Transforms Ratu Kadavulevu School

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has received commendation for its recent initiative in completing two new dormitories for students at Ratu Kadavulevu School. During the opening ceremony, Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro expressed the government’s appreciation for the $1.1 million refurbishment project.

The newly constructed dormitories, known as Bure Cakau and Ma’afu, are set to house hundreds of students at Ratu Kadavulevu School, thanks to contributions from the Church.

This organization has a longstanding history of engaging in educational and humanitarian projects across the Pacific. This latest development reinforces their dedication to supporting the youth of Fiji.

The Minister highlighted the significance of collaboration between governmental bodies and private organizations in enhancing educational facilities throughout the nation.

The dormitories, which had suffered damage from previous fires, have been modernized and now feature over 140 new double bunk beds, capable of accommodating 280 students each year.
