LDS Church’s $1.1 Million Gift Transforms Student Dorms in Fiji

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has received acclaim for completing a project that involved the refurbishment of two new dormitories for students at Ratu Kadavulevu School. Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro, who officiated at the opening, expressed the government’s gratitude for the $1.1 million investment.

The newly completed dormitories, named Bure Cakau and Ma’afu, are anticipated to provide accommodation for hundreds of students at Ratu Kadavulevu School, a contribution made possible by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

With a history of supporting education and humanitarian initiatives throughout the Pacific, the Church’s latest project emphasizes its dedication to enhancing the lives of young people in Fiji.

The Minister highlighted the significance of collaboration between the government and private entities in advancing educational facilities nationwide.

The refurbished dormitories, which were largely damaged by fires, now feature modern amenities, including more than 140 new double bunk beds designed to accommodate 280 students annually.
