Lavidi Brothers: Rising Up for Redemption After Sevens Setback

BLK Lavidi Brothers, despite facing defeat in the Fiji Bitter Kadavu Sevens, are staying focused and eager to address their shortcomings ahead of the Malake Sevens in Rakiraki next week.

The defending champions fell short of reaching the cup final after a challenging loss to Wardens Gold in the semi-finals, finishing with a score of 10-0.

Team captain Sefanaia Vuli recognized that their performance did not meet expectations and pointed to miscommunication on the field as a key factor in their defeat.

Vuli is confident that his team can learn from their mistakes and improve moving forward. He highlighted the significance of redemption in the upcoming Malake Sevens and reassured fans and supporters that the team is dedicated to putting in the necessary effort to rebound.

“The boys did well, there will be a winner and there will be a loser, so we didn’t execute our task on the field, which is why we lost,” Vuli stated. “It was miscommunication on the field that cost us the game. We know we will certainly learn from this competition as we prepare for Malake next week, so we need to redeem ourselves.”

The captain also expressed gratitude to their families and fans for their unwavering support throughout the tournament.

Despite this recent setback, Vuli remains hopeful about their prospects in future competitions and is determined to restore their form in the upcoming tournaments.
