Lautoka’s campaign for the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) has received a significant boost with the addition of seasoned goalkeeper Beniamino Mateinaqara. Currently based in Auckland, New Zealand, Mateinaqara has been released by his employer, Rams Group of Companies, to enhance Lautoka’s goalkeeping lineup, which has faced challenges recently.
The experienced goalkeeper has previously captured IDC titles and has played for several teams, including Ba, Navua, Nadi, and Suva, in addition to representing his home club, Lautoka. Flick Hygiene Lautoka is placed in Group A alongside Suva, Navua, and Labasa, and will kick off their tournament by facing Navua in their first match at 6 PM next Tuesday.
