Labasa’s head coach, Ravneel Pratap, announced that the prize money from the recent inter-district competition will be distributed among the players. Pratap mentioned that the team president, Rayaz Khan, and other officials are currently developing a plan for how the winnings will be shared.
He stated, “Every year that we win a tournament, our president has always declared that they never keep it. They always distribute it to the players and officers, and for this year again, they have promised the same.”
Pratap highlighted that this practice has become a tradition with the current management team. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and trust as key factors in their success, stating, “Our focus has always been on winning.”
He expressed gratitude to the supporters who turned out in large numbers to back the team and also thanked everyone involved in the celebration, particularly Extra, their main sponsor. “It’s a great feeling to have all the fans with us to be part of the celebration,” he said.
The victory is seen as a point of pride not only for the team but also for the entire community in the North.
