Labasa FC Dominates Nadi to Secure Super Premier Final Spot!

Extra Supermarket Labasa FC has secured the first spot in the Super Premier final set for tomorrow, following a convincing 4-1 victory against Mahijibhai Builders/Calgary Nadi FC in the first semi-final.

The Babasiga Lions demonstrated exceptional skill and pace, dominating the Jets in nearly every facet of the match. Labasa took a one-goal lead into halftime, courtesy of Molea Tigi. In the second half, Christopher Wasasala added a pair of goals, effectively sealing the win for Labasa. Nadi’s only goal came from Tuiba Batiratu, whose long-range effort found the back of the net, slipping past Labasa goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau. An own goal from Nadi in injury time concluded the match with a 4-1 scoreline in favor of Labasa.

Labasa now awaits the outcome of the second semi-final match between Stratum Construction/Zeg Investment Navua FC and Extra Supermarket Rewa FC. Labasa coach Ravneel Pratap expressed pride in his team’s performance, stating they had faith in their ability to succeed. He also acknowledged the challenge posed by Nadi. Nadi coach Raj Dayal expressed disappointment over the loss, noting that the ground conditions affected the game, but admitted that Labasa played better and deserved the victory.
