Newly appointed Ba Head Coach Ronil Kumar is expressing excitement and determination as the new season approaches. At 40 years old, Kumar brings considerable experience, having played for the Men in Black for over 15 years and previously coaching the team on multiple occasions. He steps into this role following the departure of Timoci Seru, who could not secure any titles during his time as interim coach.
Kumar, a true son of Ba, is honored to take on the mantle of leadership for the team, acknowledging the significant responsibility and high expectations that accompany the position. “While I am happy, I know about the challenges that lie ahead as building a winning team is not easy and we will have to work very hard,” he stated.
With a recent completion of the OFC B-License Coaching Course, Kumar is optimistic about the team’s potential to turn things around after a titleless 2024 season. “I’m looking forward to working with the players to build on the successes we’ve achieved over the years. My goal is to continue to bring out the best in the team and push us to new heights in 2025,” he added.
In line with this new vision, the Ba Football Association has already kicked off training sessions under Kumar’s guidance, offering fans a renewed hope for the season ahead. This transition isn’t just a change of personnel; it reflects a deeper commitment to restoring Ba’s competitive edge in local football.
Overall, Kumar’s appointment signals optimism and the potential for exciting developments as the team aims to reclaim its status as a formidable force within the league.
