Kiti Temo, currently serving as the Official Secretary for the Office of the President, is being considered for the position of Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Office of the President recently announced the vacant position for Official Secretary in local newspapers.
Since the administration of Jioji Konrote, Ms. Temo has held the role of Official Secretary, a position crucial for ensuring that all the advice presented to the President is in accordance with Fiji’s Constitution. The new Chief of Protocol will be responsible for closely interacting with the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers, coordinating through their respective Permanent Secretaries to ensure that all recommendations to the President are both accurate and constitutionally sound.
