Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, has announced his resignation, which will take effect on November 1, 2024. Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada confirmed that Karan plans to pursue a career in national and international development with an international organization based in Fiji.

With over 20 years of service in senior roles within the Fijian Government, Karan has held various significant positions, including High Commissioner to India, Permanent Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister, and Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Sugar Industry.
