The event was organized as a collaboration between Fiji’s Kava Korp and Kava Mama, highlighting a commitment to community support. Kava Korp, a state-of-the-art manufacturing and export facility based in Colo-i-Suva, made a significant donation to assist those in need through Kava Mama.
John Sanday, director of Kava Korp, expressed admiration for Kava Mama’s pivotal role in the kava bar export industry in the United States. He emphasized the importance of supporting the community during tough times, stating, “That is our way of helping them recover from the devastation, and our show of gratitude and standing with them, in bad times.” He also noted that Kava Korp was not the only company to lend assistance.
