Ratu Ilisaniti Malodali, the Tui Nadogo, has urged communities in Nadogo, Macuata, to limit kava consumption. His goal is to encourage fathers to spend more quality time with their children.

Ratu Ilisaniti emphasized the importance of a father’s presence at home to ensure proper supervision of children. He reiterated that a father figure is essential in a household for instilling discipline and preventing wrong behavior. He stressed the need for children to learn how to conduct themselves within the community, with foundational teachings rooted in religious values provided by their parents.

He expressed concern about modern influences, noting that children and youth today are increasingly engaged with technology and may be drawn into criminal activities. He highlighted the next decade as crucial for determining whether youths would stay on a path to success and embrace their civic responsibilities.

Ratu Ilisaniti encouraged young people to prioritize their education and secure stable employment, warning them against falling prey to those who might exploit them for illegal activities, such as drug trafficking. He has previously cautioned villagers against cultivating marijuana, urging them to pursue legitimate farming practices to enhance their livelihoods.

With the police advocating for stronger community partnerships, Ratu Ilisaniti called for families to play a proactive role in involving children in religious and traditional practices.
