Kamikamica Quashes Political Party Rumors: What’s Behind the Speculation?

Manoa Kamikamica, the Deputy Prime Minister, has rejected allegations that some members of the People’s Alliance Party are planning to establish a new political party, calling these claims mere speculation. This statement follows a meeting held by the Party on Tuesday, during which it was determined that the majority of Caucus members continue to back Party Leader and Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

Kamikamica expressed concern that discussions about forming a new party could jeopardize the nation’s stability. According to him, speculations about party members attempting to break away are unfounded.

“From all the discussions I’ve had, it’s clear that all Caucus members stand united. If anyone wanted to leave and start a new party, I believe it’s more rumor than reality,” Kamikamica stated.

He reaffirmed that the People’s Alliance Party remains committed to advancing the country, with significant efforts ahead, including constitutional reviews and promoting economic growth. The Deputy Prime Minister noted the importance of focusing on the country’s progress, especially after the recent appointment of a new government following 16 years of different leadership.

Kamikamica emphasized the need for political and economic stability, urging citizens to disregard rumors and concentrate on the tasks at hand. He believes that any attempts to form new political factions at this time could undermine the nation’s unity.
