Kaiviti Silktails Team Up with Bulldogs: A New Chapter Begins!

The Kaiviti Silktails Rugby League Club has finalized a three-year partnership with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, marking the end of their previous four-year collaboration with the Sydney Roosters.

This new agreement aims to align the football programs of both clubs for the next three seasons. Petero Civoniceva, Chairman of the Kaiviti Silktails and a distinguished NRL Hall of Famer and former Fiji Bati Captain, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. He noted that discussions with Bulldogs General Manager of Football, Phil Gould, made the collaboration a natural choice.

Civoniceva highlighted the Bulldogs’ progress in the NRL this year and praised the initiatives put forth by Gould and Adam Hartigan within their Pathways Program. He emphasized the significant presence of the Fijian community in the Canterbury-Bankstown region and appreciated the Bulldogs’ active engagement in Fiji over the past two seasons.

He also extended his gratitude to the Roosters for their support during their partnership, wishing them success in the future.

Phil Gould commented that the inclusion of the Kaiviti Silktails in their Pathways Program strengthens the Bulldogs’ commitment to rugby league in Fiji. He expressed excitement about the opportunity to assist in the growth of the Silktails’ development initiatives.
