Kaiviti Silktails Forge Exciting New Alliance with Bulldogs

The Kaiviti Silktails Rugby League Club has finalized a three-year partnership with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, concluding their four-year partnership with the Sydney Roosters. This new collaboration aims to synchronize the football programs of both teams over the next three seasons.

Petero Civoniceva, Chairman of the Kaiviti Silktails and an NRL Hall of Famer, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting it was a logical step after discussions with Bulldogs General Manager of Football, Phil Gould. Civoniceva remarked, “Our club is excited to be partnering with the Bulldogs. Watching the rise of their NRL team this year and seeing what Phil Gould and Adam Hartigan have done with their Pathways Program made this deal a natural fit for us.”

He highlighted the Bulldogs’ strong engagement with the Fijian community, particularly in the Canterbury-Bankstown area, and praised their initiatives in Fiji over the past two seasons. Civoniceva also took the opportunity to thank the Roosters for their support, extending well wishes for their future endeavors.

Phil Gould emphasized that this alliance with the Silktails enhances the Bulldogs’ commitment to rugby league in Fiji. “Having the Kaiviti Silktails come on board as part of our Pathways Program is an extension of our commitment to rugby league in Fiji. We look forward to helping them expand on their impressive development programs,” he stated.

This new agreement represents a significant advancement for the Kaiviti Silktails, who continue their mission to nurture rugby league talent within Fiji.
