The JSL Vakaloloma Lavesa men’s team from Kadavu is poised to make a significant impact in the Fiji Bitter Kadavu 7s tournament, featuring three national representatives in their roster. The team had a successful first day of competition and is focused on winning the prestigious title.
Managed by Seveti Soronaivalu, the team has put in three months of rigorous training. Although they missed the Brimstone 7s in Viti Levu, they are eager to demonstrate their skills on familiar ground in Kadavu. Soronaivalu acknowledged the stiff competition but expressed optimism regarding the team’s preparation.
“We have trained hard for this competition, and we aim to perform our best throughout the tournament,” stated Soronaivalu. The presence of Fiji sevens players Suliano Volivoli, Josefa Talacolo, and Filipe Sauturaga is seen as a strategic advantage for the team.
Building on last year’s Kadavu sevens performance, the team is driven to surpass their previous achievements. Despite challenging weather conditions, their focus remains on their passion for the sport and the chance to compete at a prestigious level.
