Lemeki Senikau, the captain of the Ratu Kadavulevu School Under-17 rugby team, is focused on enhancing his kicking and positional skills ahead of the Vodafone Deans Trophy final on Saturday. Following their impressive 38-11 victory over Ratu Navula College in the semi-finals, Ratu Kadavulevu School is set to face Marist Brothers High School in the championship match.
In an interview with SUNsports, Senikau emphasized the importance of faith, stating, “We rely on God’s strength and guidance in our performance on the field.” He acknowledged the need for his team to remain composed under pressure during the final against Marist Brothers.
Senikau attributed the team’s successful performance to their unity and teamwork. He dedicated their semi-final victory to their parents, friends, and former students, revealing that the team faced numerous challenges during their 13-week training camp but remained determined to succeed.
