Juveniles Face Serious Charges in Shocking Crime Spree

Last month, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions charged five juveniles with serious offenses. A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man face allegations of aggravated burglary and theft after they reportedly broke into the home of a 76-year-old woman, stealing a television, household appliances, FJD $500, and AUD $250.

In another case, three 17-year-old boys have been charged with aggravated burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property. The trio is accused of invading a school property, where they allegedly made off with five laptops and a sound system speaker.

Additionally, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have also been charged with aggravated burglary and theft. They are believed to have entered the residence of a 46-year-old man and stolen a laptop, a chainsaw, and a mobile phone.

In September alone, 38 individuals were charged with a total of 42 counts of non-sexual violence offenses. These charges include one count of murder, one count of manslaughter due to breach of duty, five counts of aggravated robbery, nine counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of burglary, ten counts of theft, three counts of receiving stolen property, one count of intent to cause grievous harm, one count of grievous harm, four counts of unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of illicit drugs, one count of breach of bail conditions, and one count of breach of suspended sentence.
