The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has charged two juveniles, aged 15 and 13, on multiple counts of rape and attempted rape.
According to the ODPP Rape and Sexual Offences Statistics for June, a 15-year-old boy has been charged with the alleged rape and attempted rape of a 5-year-old girl.
In another case, a 13-year-old boy has been charged with the rape of a 12-year-old boy.
Overall, 15 people were charged with a total of 32 counts of sexual offences in June. The counts of sexual offences include 21 for rape, two for attempted rape, four for indecent assault, one for defilement, and four for sexual assault.
The report noted that out of the 15 accused individuals, two were juveniles.
Additionally, six incidents involved the victims and the accused being related to one another.
