The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has charged two juveniles, aged 15 and 13, on multiple counts of rape and attempted rape.
In the ODPP Rape and Sexual Offences Statistics for June, it was reported that a 15-year-old boy was charged with the alleged rape and attempted rape of a 5-year-old girl.
Additionally, a 13-year-old boy has been charged with the rape of a 12-year-old boy.
In June, a total of 15 individuals were charged with 32 counts of sexual offences. These offences include 21 counts of rape, 2 counts of attempted rape, 4 counts of indecent assault, 1 count of defilement, and 4 counts of sexual assault.
The report noted that out of the 15 accused individuals, two were juveniles.
There were six incidents in which the victims and the accused were related to one another.
