Juvenile Crime Wave: Five Charged in Shocking Burglary Spree

Five juveniles were charged by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions last month for committing serious crimes. A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man face charges of aggravated burglary and theft. They allegedly broke into a 76-year-old woman’s home and stole a television, household appliances, FJD $500, and AUD $250.

In a separate case, three 17-year-old boys were charged with aggravated burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property after they reportedly broke into a school and stole five laptops and a sound system speaker.

Additionally, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were also charged with aggravated burglary and theft for allegedly breaking into the home of a 46-year-old man, taking a laptop, chainsaw, and mobile phone.

In September, a total of 38 individuals faced 42 charges related to non-sexual violence offences. The charges included one count of murder, one of manslaughter, five counts of aggravated robbery, nine counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of burglary, ten counts of theft, three counts of receiving stolen property, one of acting with intent to cause grievous harm, one of grievous harm, four counts of unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of illicit drugs, one count of breaching bail conditions, and one count of breaching a suspended sentence.
