Juvenile Crime Surge: Five Charged in Shocking Burglary Spree

Five juveniles faced charges from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions last month for serious offenses. A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were charged with aggravated burglary and theft. The duo reportedly broke into the home of a 76-year-old woman and stole a television, household appliances, FJD $500, and AUD $250.

Additionally, three 17-year-old boys were charged with aggravated burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property after allegedly breaking into a school and stealing five laptops along with a sound system speaker.

In another case, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were charged with aggravated burglary and theft for breaking into a 46-year-old man’s residence and taking a laptop, a chainsaw, and a mobile phone.

In September, a total of 38 individuals were charged with 42 counts related to non-sexual violence offenses. This list of charges included one count of murder, one count of manslaughter due to breach of duty, five counts of aggravated robbery, nine counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of burglary, ten counts of theft, three counts of receiving stolen property, one count of intent to cause grievous harm, one count of grievous harm, four counts of unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of illicit drugs, one breach of bail conditions, and one breach of suspended sentence.
