Junior Koya’s Comeback: A Knockout Victory After Two Years!

Junior Koya made a successful return to the boxing ring after two years, defeating Jone Tagimei by technical knockout. Tagimei was unable to continue after the second round, as he reported to his coach that he could no longer fight due to blood appearing on his nose.

In a statement, Koya expressed his excitement about his victory, saying, “It feels incredible to be back in the ring and to win like this. I’ve been training hard and working on my skills during my time away, and I’m thrilled to see that it all paid off.” He mentioned that farming had contributed positively to his fitness, describing it as a form of training and self-reflection.

Koya also indicated his intention to focus on areas for improvement as he prepares for his next match, stating, “I’m looking forward to getting back into the ring and continuing to improve. There’s a lot more I want to achieve, and today was just the beginning.”

In a separate bout, Shafir Maqbool won his match against Sakaria Talatu by default.
