Semi Radradra, a centre for the FIJI Water Flying Fijians, may leave his current club, French Top 14 team Lyon, mid-season to join a franchise in Japan. The 32-year-old is contracted with LOU until June 2025, but reports from Midi Olympique suggest he has received multiple offers from Top League clubs and is inclined to accept one of them.
Although Radradra is in the later stages of his career, the potential move could be one of the most financially rewarding opportunities he has encountered. His time at Lyon has been challenging, as he has made only fifteen appearances and scored just one try since joining the club.
In response to the possibility of Radradra’s departure, Lyon is reportedly seeking replacements, with interest in Fijian Drua’s Iosefo Mafi, Toulouse’s Ange Capuozzo, and Timoci Tavatavanawai from the Highlanders.
Radradra has played 20 test matches for the Flying Fijians, contributing six tries, and has showcased his versatility by playing in various positions such as wing, centre, and fullback.
