Iosefo Masi from the Fijian Drua is being considered as a potential replacement for Semi Radradra at the French Top 14 club, Lyon. Masi has a two-year contract with the Fijian Drua that concludes at the end of this year, and he has not yet renewed his contract.
Reports from Midi Olympique indicate that Radradra’s contract is also nearing its conclusion, with indications that it may not be renewed. The report states, “According to our information, the Lyon leaders are currently pursuing one of the standout players from the last Super Rugby season.”
Lyon’s management is contemplating Radradra’s future, particularly as his contract expires soon. Club president Yann Roubert previously expressed his thoughts on Radradra’s performance.
Despite Roubert’s diplomatic comments, the club appears hesitant about extending Radradra’s high-value contract. He commented, “We hoped for more and better last season, both for Semi and for the team as a whole. The new season offers a chance for everyone to demonstrate their value and commitment to the team’s principles.”
Roubert also mentioned that the upcoming season would provide clarity regarding players’ futures, emphasizing the need for players to showcase their skills and desire to contribute to the team’s success.
Last weekend, Radradra was not part of Lyon’s starting lineup during their loss to La Rochelle, where they suffered a 43-22 defeat.
