Fiji Airports (FA) has entered a $10.4 million agreement with Australian company RATE to procure six new aerobridges for passengers.
Mesake Nawari, FA’s chief executive officer, stated that this investment is aimed at upgrading outdated infrastructure and meeting the future passenger demands at Nadi International Airport. The plan also focuses on enhancing passenger experience and boosting operational efficiency.
“As part of our terminal expansion and master plan, Fiji Airports has committed $10.4 million for six aerobridges. This includes two new aerobridges to be installed and four aerobridges to replace the old ones at the apron, especially to accommodate widebody aircraft like the A350s,” Nawari said.
The installation of three new passenger aerobridges at Gates 1, 2A, and 2B will enable the airport to make optimal use of the available parking stands on the apron.
