The Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, is urging business owners in Nasinu to invest in the community and back local initiatives to foster a socially cohesive environment. During his speech at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Nasinu Festival last Saturday, he emphasized the vital role that businesses play in this transformation.

“Our future is bright, but it requires the effort of each of us,” Mr. Nalumisa stated, highlighting the importance of community investment in creating jobs and supporting local programs. He believes that the continued support from businesses will help Nasinu Town thrive and become “a beacon of hope,” showcasing what can be achieved when a community unites towards a common goal.

He called for a community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed, stating, “Let us build a town where no one is left behind, where every child, youth, woman, and elder has the opportunity to thrive.” Mr. Nalumisa envisions a city not only prosperous in economic terms but also in compassion, unity, and shared purpose.
