The Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, is encouraging business owners in Nasinu to invest in their communities and support local initiatives to enhance social cohesion. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Nasinu Festival last Saturday, he emphasized the crucial role businesses play in the transformation of the town.
Mr. Nalumisa stated, “I call upon our businesses to play a gifted role in this transformation. Our future is bright, but it requires the effort of each one of us.” He highlighted that investing in the community, creating employment opportunities, and backing local initiatives contribute to building an economically vibrant and socially cohesive town.
He expressed optimism that with ongoing business support, Nasinu Town could thrive and serve as “a beacon of hope,” demonstrating the potential achievable when communities unite around a common objective. “Let us build a town where no one is left behind, where every child, youth, woman, and elder has the opportunity to thrive,” he urged.
Mr. Nalumisa called for a city that embodies not only economic prosperity but also promotes compassion, unity, and shared purpose.
