Minister for Housing and Local Government Maciu Nalumisa has urged business owners in Nasinu to invest in local communities and support initiatives that promote social cohesion. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Nasinu Festival last Saturday, he emphasized the importance of businesses in transforming the town.
“I call upon our businesses to play a gifted role in this transformation,” Mr. Nalumisa stated. He noted that while the future looks bright, it will require collective effort from everyone.
He explained that by investing in the community, creating jobs, and supporting local projects, business owners contribute to building an economically vibrant and socially cohesive town. With ongoing business support, he believes Nasinu can thrive and become “a beacon of hope,” illustrating the potential achievements of united communities working towards common goals.
“Let us build a town where no one is left behind, where every child, youth, woman, and elder has the opportunity to thrive,” he urged. He called for development into a city that embodies prosperity, compassion, unity, and shared purpose.
