Some male students at a secondary school in Cakaudrove are being investigated for the alleged rape of a fellow male student in a school dormitory. Senior Superintendent of Police Kemueli Baledrokadroka, the Divisional Police Commander for the North, confirmed that an inquiry is underway and it is currently in its initial stages.
While he refrained from providing further details, Baledrokadroka highlighted that such incidents indicate the negative consequences students may face when they are either unsupervised or influenced by external factors. Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew has been informed of the alleged incident. The individuals involved, both the victim and the accused, are reported to be between 14 and 17 years old.
