Some male students at a secondary school in Cakaudrove are currently being investigated for the alleged rape of a fellow male student in a school dormitory. Senior Superintendent of Police Kemueli Baledrokadroka, the Divisional Police Commander for the North, confirmed that an inquiry has commenced.
“Our investigators are actively working on this case, which is in the early stages,” he stated, without providing additional details.
Baledrokadroka noted that such incidents highlight the negative consequences that students can encounter when they are unsupervised or influenced by external factors. Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew is also informed about the situation. All parties involved, including the victim and the alleged perpetrators, are aged between 14 and 17 years old.
