Several male students at a secondary school in Cakaudrove are currently under investigation for the alleged rape of a fellow male student in a school dormitory. The Divisional Police Commander for the North, Senior Superintendent of Police Kemueli Baledrokadroka, confirmed that an investigation is underway, although it remains in its early stages.
Details regarding the incident have not been disclosed further by SSP Baledrokadroka, who noted that such cases highlight the negative consequences that students may encounter when unsupervised or influenced by various factors. The Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, has also been informed about the alleged incident. All individuals involved, including the victim and the suspects, are reported to be between the ages of 14 and 17.
