A number of male students at a secondary school in Cakaudrove are currently being investigated for the alleged rape of a fellow male student in a school dormitory. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kemueli Baledrokadroka, the Divisional Police Commander for the North, confirmed that the investigation is underway and still in its early stages, but he refrained from providing further details.
SSP Baledrokadroka emphasized that such incidents highlight the negative consequences students may encounter when left unsupervised or influenced by certain factors. The Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, has been informed about the alleged incident. All individuals involved, including the victim and the accused, are between the ages of 14 and 17.
