The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has forwarded the investigation file concerning FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), as the investigation remains incomplete.
According to a statement from the ODPP, the case was reviewed by Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, John Rabuku, in collaboration with Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva.
The ODPP has provided recommendations to the CID to ensure the investigation is completed.
Once the investigation concludes, the file will be returned to the ODPP for a thorough analysis of all the evidence gathered.
The ODPP has indicated that an update regarding the review’s outcome will be provided once they receive the finalized investigation file and a decision is made.
