The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has forwarded the investigation file concerning FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali to the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) due to incomplete inquiries related to the case.
According to a statement from the ODPP, the investigation was reviewed by Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, John Rabuku, in collaboration with Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva.
The ODPP has provided the CID with recommendations aimed at completing the investigation.
Once the investigation concludes, the file will be returned to the ODPP for a detailed examination of all collected evidence.
The ODPP indicated that an update on the results of the file review will be provided once the completed investigation is received and a decision is made.
