Vasemaca Ratusaitadra has shared his inspiring journey during a graduation ceremony at the University of the South Pacific on a recent Saturday. It was a momentous occasion for him as he celebrated the achievement of earning his degree after five years of dedication.
Vasemaca commenced his studies in 2019 and has now successfully completed the Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management. He is originally from Nasegai, Ravitaki in Kadavu, and is currently based in Vanuadina, Tokatoka, Tailevu.
He attributes his success to his firm determination and commitment. Vasemaca acknowledged the support of his family, highlighting the importance of teamwork in pursuing academic goals. He was one of six graduates who stood out in their cohort from the University of the South Pacific.
Vasemaca expressed that his achievement serves as a great example for aspiring students, encouraging them to pursue education vigorously, especially for those who come from similar backgrounds. He recounted the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, such as the lack of a laptop to complete his assignments and times when he felt disheartened, but he persevered through these difficulties.
He is now focused on seeking a job that aligns with his career ambitions to further advance his studies in the future. Throughout this journey, Vasemaca has maintained his faith in God, attributing his achievements to divine guidance.
