The Fiji National University is collaborating with Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for the 2024 Open Day, encouraging Fijians to “Dream It, Weave It, Achieve It.”

The event at the Nasinu Campus will allow attendees to engage with Fijian Drua players, including Philip Baselala and Simione Kuruvoli, along with Vani Arei, the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s Player of the Year. Visitors will have the opportunity to listen to their personal journeys and experiences.

FNU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba, emphasized the importance of connecting attendees with the Fijian Drua team, showcasing how dreams can be realized. She remarked, “The Drua players have demonstrated that with dedication, teamwork, and resilience, no challenge is insurmountable. They motivate Fijians to chase their dreams and confront difficulties directly.”

“Much like the Drua have combined their talents on the rugby field, FNU integrates knowledge, skills, and opportunities to assist our students in reaching their full potential,” added Professor Nabobo-Baba.

Fijian Drua CEO, Mark Evans, along with esteemed Strength and Conditioning Coach, Naca Cawanibuka, will serve as guest speakers on Friday, October 4, sharing valuable insights into the team’s journey.
