Leader of the Opposition, Inia Seruiratu, has announced that he will serve as an Independent Member of Parliament for the remainder of the Parliamentary term. In remarks to the media, Seruiratu stated that former FijiFirst MPs have the freedom to make their own choices regarding their political paths.
Seruiratu highlighted that his Caucus (Opposition) will continue to perform its duties of holding the Government accountable and ensuring the effective delivery of services to the Fijian people. He also mentioned that all his members have until July 15 to decide on their next steps, and he will respect whatever decisions they make about their political futures.
