Impressive Cadet Success at Natabua High School

After weeks of rigorous training, Natabua High School held its cadet passing-out parade on Friday.

Among the graduates was deputy head girl and second in command, Nidhi Chaudhary, who demonstrated remarkable resilience as she marched closely behind Parade Commander and head boy, Josefata Naisili. She played a key role in leading 1,276 cadets through various drills and formations.

The school’s cadet training program has been lauded for producing well-rounded students by blending academic excellence with leadership training and physical fitness, equipping them with essential skills for future success.

“We spent six to seven hours outside each day, and the sun was relentless, but we persevered. It was a very emotional experience towards the end, as it was both physically and mentally exhausting. However, it feels great to have achieved it,” she said. Nidhi expressed gratitude to her family and classmates for their support.

Saleshni Chaudhary was filled with pride as she watched her daughter march in the parade.

“It was an emotional moment, but I’m incredibly proud that she earned the role of second in command. Seeing her complete her final march before heading to tertiary education was a proud moment for us as parents. Watching her lead and hold that position really highlighted her character,” Ms. Chaudhary said.
