A Chinese national who performed an illegal and fatal breast augmentation surgery will spend an additional two-and-a-half years in prison. Jie Shao was convicted of manslaughter earlier this year when a Sydney jury determined that she unlawfully injected a woman with a lethal dosage of anesthetic.
Jean Huang, 35, died during the September 2017 procedure which involved hyaluronic acid being injected into her breasts as a filler.
This sentencing follows Shao’s conviction for manslaughter after performing the unlawful breast augmentation surgery in Sydney in 2017.
