IHG Fiji Hotels Goes Pink for Cancer Awareness

In a commitment to supporting the community, IHG Fiji Hotels, owned by the FNPF, is participating in global initiatives to raise cancer awareness through its Pinktober 2024 events.

According to a statement from IHG Fiji Hotels, the three participating establishments—InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, and Holiday Inn Suva—will work to enhance awareness and contribute directly to organizations making a significant impact on cancer awareness in Fiji.

The statement highlighted that throughout October, these hotels will host various activities for both guests and staff aimed at promoting cancer awareness initiatives. The funds raised will support local NGOs, including the Fiji Cancer Society, WOWS Kids Fiji, and Cure Kids Fiji, ensuring that donations go to those in need.

Lachlan Walker, general manager of IHG Fiji Hotels and Resorts, emphasized that their annual Pinktober campaign represents IHG’s dedication to positively influencing local communities. He noted that collaborating with organizations such as the Fiji Cancer Society, WOWS Kids Fiji, and Cure Kids Fiji allows them to raise awareness and provide vital support to cancer-affected individuals.

Residents and guests are encouraged to participate in these efforts by engaging in the events and enjoying special food and beverage options offered throughout October, with every purchase contributing to raising awareness and aiding women and children in Fiji.

As part of the “Cup of Kindness” coffee sale initiative, IHG Fiji Hotels announced that guests at all three hotels can donate on Friday, October 4, and October 18. On these days, all coffee sales will be directed to WOWS Kids Fiji and Cure Kids Fiji, which offer crucial support for children battling cancer and their families. Additionally, Pinktober pins will be sold at the hotels, with proceeds benefiting the Fiji Cancer Society.
